Unique Visitors Or Hits?

Trainee Group: Members Posts: 90 Member No.: 3 Joined: November 25, 2005	How many times do you get people who are bragging about the number of hits their site gets and yet when you check it out they are using some free hit counter and each page has 20 or more images for the menu alone! One potential client got upset when I pointed out his thousands of hits actually equated to a few hundred unique visitors and that one of those visitors was his own pc (every day). As a result I always give my clients a demonstration of how to use their stats analysis in cpanel. They absolutely adore this service What are your stories on hits and visitors? --------------------

It gives more detailed analysis like unique visitors, country, hits, add to favorite etc. I currently get 150-200 unique visits per day and thousands of clicks on one of the my site -------------------- Join Science Community Free Advertsing Gamers Worlds

Freshman Group: Members Posts: 5 Member No.: 288 Joined: June 16, 2007	Ah stories on hits. Here's one for you, my friend had a deviant art page that has it's own "Vists" counter on it. She was going "Ahhh 449 people have viewed my page! So to make a point I clicked and refereshed the page a few times and she was getting all excited until I told her it was me Haha. But yea that whole Unique VS. Hits always makes people confused. "Oh that's a popular site! So many Hits!" And I just go "Yea... they refreshed it 100 times to make sure it was all working. Refreshed it a few times everytime they wanted to see the hits, and had about 5 friends do the same. Haha but yea it's nice you help out with the traffic flow deal -------------------- Need a little extra Cash? Refer me at that site!
